On the afternoon of November 22, the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation held a ceremony to announce the decision on admitting union members and establishing the grassroots trade union of Phuc Tam Loi Seafood Import–Export Company Limited, located in Binh Duc Ward, Long Xuyen City.
Phuc Tam Loi Seafood Import–Export Co., Ltd., established in 2019, operates in the fields of pangasius farming, processing, and frozen pangasius exports, with more than 380 workers and employees currently employed.
At the ceremony, the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation officially announced the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of Phuc Tam Loi Seafood Import–Export Co., Ltd. and appointed a provisional Executive Committee. Mr. Huynh Huu Minh was designated as Chairman of the grassroots trade union. At the same time, 182 workers and employees were admitted as members of the Vietnam Trade Union.
To date, the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation oversees 211 grassroots trade unions with more than 13,000 union members operating across various sectors, including public administration, education, and manufacturing and processing enterprises.
An Giang Records Pangasius Production of Over 650,000 Tons
In the first nine months of 2025, An Giang Province’s aquaculture sector recorded positive results, with pangasius continuing to play a leading role. Pangasius output reached nearly 653.2 thousand tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.62%. This growth was mainly driven by farming areas operated by enterprises with integrated production chains, enabling cost optimization and improved profitability.
